At first glance, my first impression of this statement is one of weakness, where we fail to take leadership and rest entirely on the will of God to be done without any involvement or action on our part.
It is always my first glance.
The second glance, when I pray and ask God is this our cop-out on life, He reminds me that there will always people who will use this statement as their mantra but not follow it in their heart. He shows me the incredible servant’s heart required to make this statement possible and one that is humbled before God.
When I look at discouragement, even to the point of being physically sick and being unable to eat – and then in a moment or two you can be happy and physically well. This can happen when we offer an honest prayer to God, and then resolve to leave the problem with God. Most definitely, at this point, a blessing from a friend can make all the difference in the world.
I am reminded again today that when we are in such a state of hurry and we set up our plans and our travels, engage in business, and do not have the time to worship God, we are likely to proceed without His presence and blessing.
May the Lord’s will be done in your life and in my life today!
