why did you set us free?
God set us free because He wanted to be our God.
He wanted to live with us and without the acknowledgment that He is the only one who can set us free and He is the only one who did set us free, He couldn’t.
So our gratitude and willingness to follow Him opens the door to an invitation to God to come and dwell with us as a continual resident in our homes and in our hearts – our God – the sole object of our worship. The one I turn to and on whom I trust in all difficulties and distresses. My expectations are that He will be to me all that the Creator needs to be.
That dwelling is one of confidence of His presence and blessing and in knowing that He is my God and that I am His.
God sets us free so that He can live with us and know Him. This doesn’t come be experimenting and it doesn’t come without acknowledging love and making a decision to follow Him. For from the beginning fo the world, the salvation of our souls implied that God lives in us.
